Guide
Play Solana games with Phantom
You installed Phantom — now what? Solana Garden runs wallet-native games in your browser. Garden Dice is a good first game: try a free demo roll, then connect Phantom (or scan a Solana Pay QR on mobile) and pay from 0.001 SOL for a verifiable on-chain result. Not a casino — entertainment and bragging rights only.
Phantom not set up yet? Install the extension or mobile app, fund mainnet, then return here.
Phantom setup Get SOL in PhantomWhy Garden Dice fits Phantom users
- No download — runs in Chrome, Safari, or any browser where Phantom works.
- Free demo first — see commit-reveal fairness before you spend SOL.
- Desktop connect — Phantom extension approves the site like any Solana dApp.
- Mobile Solana Pay — scan a QR in Phantom without typing addresses.
- Tiny micropayments — rolls from 0.001 SOL, ideal for testing your wallet.

Step 1 — Try the demo (no Phantom needed)
- Use the demo panel above or open Garden Dice.
- Click Free demo roll. Note the commit hash shown before you roll — the server cannot change the outcome afterward.
- After rolling, the server seed is revealed. You can verify the math or read how provably fair dice works.
Step 2 — Prepare Phantom on mainnet
Before paying, confirm Phantom is ready:
- Mainnet Beta — not devnet. See switch Phantom to mainnet if your balance looks wrong.
- Some SOL — rolls start at 0.001 SOL plus a small fee. See how to get SOL in Phantom.
- Site permissions — first connect may ask you to approve solana.garden. See connect Phantom to a dApp.
Network fees are tiny on Solana — usually under 0.00001 SOL per transaction. See Solana transaction fees if you are worried about having enough for fees plus the roll.
Step 3 — Connect Phantom and pay
Use the pay panel above when you are ready:
- Desktop — open the Wallet tab, click Connect, choose Phantom, and approve. Pick 0.001 SOL (or up to 0.01), then confirm the transfer.
- Mobile — open the Solana Pay tab, scan the QR with Phantom, approve the amount, then tap I've paid — detect and roll if needed.
Payment stuck? See insufficient SOL, transaction failed, or Solana Pay troubleshooting.
Step 4 — Verify and challenge friends
Paid rolls are verifiable on mainnet — match the server seed to the commit hash and open the transaction on Solscan. Share a beat-my-roll challenge link so friends try a free demo, then pay to beat your roll.
Stuck at payment?
If Phantom says insufficient SOL even though your balance looks fine, part of it may be rent-locked in empty token accounts from spam airdrops — only spendable SOL counts for payments.
- Reclaim Solana rent — close empty token accounts and recover about 0.002 SOL each.
- Solana wallet cleanup — hide spam tokens, reclaim rent, and check spendable balance.
- Phantom insufficient SOL — balance, fees, and retry steps.
- Phantom transaction failed — wrong network, cancelled approval, or detection lag.
- Solana Pay not working — QR scan, wrong amount, or paid-but-not-detected on mobile.

FAQ
- Can I play without installing Phantom?
- Yes for the free demo. Paid rolls need a Solana wallet — Phantom on desktop or any Solana Pay wallet on mobile.
- Does Phantom work on iPhone and Android?
- Yes. Use the Solana Pay QR tab in the pay panel and scan with the Phantom mobile app.
- What if Phantom says transaction failed?
- Check mainnet, balance, and popup blockers. Our transaction failed guide walks through common fixes.
- Do I need extra SOL for network fees?
- Yes — keep a little extra beyond the roll. The base fee is about 0.000005 SOL per transfer. See Solana transaction fees.
- I have SOL but payment says insufficient — why?
- Your total balance can include SOL locked as rent in empty token accounts. Close them to reclaim about 0.002 SOL each — wallet cleanup or rent reclaim.
